Networks Clamping Down On Businesses Using Private Mobile Broadband Tariffs

No 4G

We have all seen the low-cost offers of 4G mobile broadband with a huge data allowance. These tariffs are aimed at the consumer, and are restricted to handsets or a small MiFi device.

With demand growing for data, the mobile networks are now becoming aware that many businesses are buying consumer tariffs.  The result of this is that some networks are no longer issuing VAT invoices for these, in order to dissuade business use. In some cases users have been blocked completely with little or no notice.

While some 4G tariffs available seem cheap, buying these for business use may be against the mobile network’s terms, and you could find that the service stops working.
